We went camping to the Byers Lake cabin again this winter. It was rather cold -- about 15 below -- but it was a great adventure... We did not bring enough firewood to be comfortable enough to survive so we skedaddled on back to the warmth of home after only a day instead of staying a whole weekend. Yes, we are whimps, but 15 below is pretty darn cold... Here are four pictures from the trip :

When we first got into the cabin, it was incredibly cold. Even the dog was complaining!

Daddy finally got the stove a-burning, and the cabin warmed up nicely. Or so we thought -- Augie's water was still frozen solid when this pic was taken! But hey, 25 above feels like 100 when it is -15 outside....

A warm Michele enjoys the greatness of Nature at its best, or at least a warm cup of coffe and a hot stove...

Lauren warmed up to the idea of winter camping and comforts her obnoxious dog, "Lucky Wags". She named the dog, not us.
